Help System update loop

New wrinkle. When I check for system updates (Setting>About phone>System updates), the phone will display " Checking for available update. Please wait..." with the spinning wheel forever. Any advise.

Mine doesn't.

I went through an update on the Droid X about 1-2 years ago. It was released incrementally around the country. One region would get it and next day or so another region would get it.

There were all kinds of "mess ups" checking to see if there was an update. An infinite loop was one of them.

I suggest that if you know it is being released in your city then worry about it. Until then ... ignore it.

I bet you $100K that it hasn't been released in your city yet.
