Help System update popup

[Dbenedetto]

I keep getting a popup asking me to update my system now or later.

How can I get rid of it? I neither need nor want google's update.

I am using a moto g.

Welcome to AF!

Well, as far as I know, without being rooted, you can't suppress the OTA (over-the-air) Android updates.

And if you do root, you certainly don't want to (and often can't) install an OTA due to the files that get changed/installed as a result of rooting.

I can move your thread over to the Moto G area for you if you'd like--you'll get other feedback from the folks that have your same device in there--just lemme know!

Cheers!

No worries re. where you posted .

I've never heard of a way to suppress an update prompt on a non-rooted device, though...
