Help System Update / Upgrade Notification this Morning

Hello Everyone :)
I got a system update / upgrade notification this morning, and I simply ignored it because first off I was half asleep still, along with that I am rooted so I didn't know if I had to unroot to do this update / upgrade. I was just wondering what the update was because I did not select the details option because once again I was half asleep. If I can't get an answer of what it was I will just have to wait for it to just simply pop up again. But any thoughts would help! :)

was your phone rooted, i have put off doing this update until i read some forum chat but this topic seems quiet which i hope means the update is not bothersome, i will update my phone now and reply, i am stock rooted

I tried the update twice both time failed with the same msg saying it cant find the googlebooks program and aborted, maybe... its because i deleted all the gar-baje like google books, hookt, etc.

now for your phone stuck on logo I need more info.
was your phone fully charged when you tried to do update?
do you remember the error message?
do you have a back up of your rom and stuff?
 
It's weird, we have 2 phones. Last android update, I got the update message and it was 2 days later that my wifes phone got hers. This time around, my wife got her message yesterday, I did it when I got home, and hers is now android 2.3.6, kernel 2.6.35.7, build GINGERBREAD.FA19

I still haven't gotten the update pushed yet, my phone is 2.3.5, ker 2.6.35.7, GINGERBREAD.EJ06. If I try to update the Samsung software manually. it says it is up to date.

same scenario (need spell check) here with the (2) phones 1 updated and the other took its time as far as your phone showing as updated that's fine just waite and they will send it out again like they did my phone if you are rooted there is an update to get your root back on the FA19 by shaggy i personally would recommend a back up before you do the update to fa19 since there are mixed results after the update good luck and reply or search the topics to pick up on the progress of this issue from what i hear the update does not have ciq which is spyware for snooping on your calls and txting (i guess they lost the court case and had to take it off!!! good news for privacy)
