System update

Hi all my wife and I both have mt3g phones and she was prompted to update her phone with a system update. Not really sure what it was about, it wasn't a firmware update and the build is the same. The only difference is the kernel version. I'm in the Houston area if that matters

i second this... im supposed to get 3g in my area but my phone seem to jump from 3g to gprs and back to 3g it might be an antenna problem...


i also herd that a update was going around that would fix the problem with some peoples missed call notifications problems...

I was having that problem with a Mytouch 3G, Nokia N900, and two BlackBerry 9700's. I called and opened several sevice requests with Tmobile (every few days) and they FINALLY sent a tech out to fix the towers. Now I'm perfect -- before it would be 3G then GPRS (skip EDGE). Now it's a solid 3G (-60dBm)

im gonna try calling them tomorrow to see what they say
 
Nope, not yet. I was momentarily hopeful when I got an alert of an "administrative message" a little while ago, but it turned out to just be Weather Bug informing me that an Amber Alert had been canceled.

Well, whoop-de-doo, some missing kids have been found... ;)

You must have gotten lucky I called customer service and got a clueless jackass. I wish I've took his name to report him. Ill try again tomorrow.

I got the update the poster is talking about. It's still 1.6..idk exactly what the update did but i woke up an it was there. i was like 'OMG 2.1!!!" but then was sadly let down
