System updates

Over the weekend, I received three system updates for my M8, but there was no change log. Does anyone know what these updates involved and modified?

My phone is pushing these updates as well, but I'm a little suspicious. I denied the updates and tried to find them through settings, like the updater instructed, but they weren't there. They don't seem to be from HTC, but I can't figure out who else they might be from. Maybe Sprint? These updates are coming through every day between 2 am and 3;30 am and they wake me up every time.

No, I could not find a 'change log' or anything else. The three android men appeared on the screen when I was told that updates available. I backed out of that and went to System updates -> HTC software updates and the same message appeared. PS: Sprint is my carrier.

Marshmallow is coming to our M8s. Rumored to carrier branded units by the end of the year. I see nothing to indicate it's happening yet however. Definitely something exciting to look forward to but I doubt very seriously that what you are seeing is Marshmallow.

I got these updates as well. m8 on Tmobile. My guess is it's some sort of pre marshmallow prep, but I don't know for sure. If I find anything out I'll post it up.

I received these updates this morning (RingPlus). Clicking on the individual components told me they were app updates in preparation for the Marshmallow update.

The only change I see is that Facebook now force closes whenever I try to use it.

Hey @EarlyMon did you ever get the update to install properly? Would be a good update on Phandroid if it's really Android Marshmallow. Let me know!

The preparatory updates were fine - as we all know now from HTC honcho Mo Versi's tweet, the Sprint update is supposed to go live middle of next week.

My best guess, having seen this before, is that someone goofed and I was able to see the M update dialog, but they pulled the plug before the update went through.
