Good news to everyone,

Grounding issue got fixed with the update. I tried all kinds of surfaces, couch, and bed and the screen responses greatly.

holy crankies...i got some bad news..my evo was installing update (system update) and now the screen is off and no activity...i left it ofr 10 mins and its still off.. i tried holding the power button with no success.. i took out the batt and held power button put it back in still wont turn on...WTF

That's the old version.


I did a power cycle on my phone and now can get the update when I couldn't before...

I'm semi-rooted with Unrevoked. Forgot to yank it before applying the update, which is applying now. Will post again in a few minutes when it is done.

Applying the update seemed to take an eternity. The Evo normally boots in under 60 seconds but this time around took several minutes. Had to reload all of my non HTC widgets. PITA, but not a deal breaker.

No other issues thus far.
