Help System Upgrade 2.47.502.7

I've been unable to get this upgrade to install. Has anyone else had any luck?

I've had a few different scenarios:
1. The download is reported as corrupt and I'm prompted to re-download.
2. The install ends in a red triangle and an exclamation point and I have to open the battery compartment to get it to reboot.
3. The upgrade restarts to the Home screen but reports that it was unable to install.

Any ideas?

The update downloaded for me without a problem and then attempted install. The progress bar filled and it hung on the installation screen for a few minutes (the screen with the green arrows that go around in a circle with the phone displayed underneath) and then restarted twice on it's own. After the second restart the phone hung on the "Rethink Possible" AT&T screen for a couple minutes before going to my home screen. After swiping into that screen I was told that the download was successful.

I wanted to respond to your post (I found it when I was google searching the update). Hope this helps.

I also installed this latest system update (2.47.502.7) over the weekend. My HTC Inspire 4G has been working perfectly. Now it frequently locks up, screen becomes dark and unresponsive, and I have to remove the battery to get it to boot back up. It also uses huge amounts of power, running the battery down in about 3 hours just sitting on my desk doing nothing. I have tried all the settings, but I can't get it stop burning up the battery. It continues to freeze up every few hours, but I can't find a cause yet, so I don't know if a certain app or system setting is the culprit.

I am wondering if there is a way to back out of this update.
