Hi all,

We have some exciting news for all our Desire users.

The 2.2 firmware update (FroYo) will be available from today and will be sent over the air (OTA) direct to your phone over the coming weeks.

Be sure to save all your personal data before you start downloading.

Updating now, needed to remove apps as it needs 25MB space, and it couldn't backup my data to the SD card for some reason, so god knows what I'm going to lose as it continued anyways!

The Market is now incredibly slow at loading pages! Trying to download any app it just takes me to a blank page... not a good first impression, can't download anything!!!

Let's such hope/wait for the patch to be sent to our phone that does not have German content on it. Be prepared to wait another month.

there is no doubt 2.2 has been quicker but it dont seem to back up any of my data, does anyone know how????

I did the update once you clicked yes! there was no going back like! it seems ok so far!!! but my HTC Desire is now just like the HTC wildfire, the message layout the applications, i thought that when i picked the higher priced / featured phone, i would have got more than the cheap version, but seems they have had half the applications since came out.
