T-Mobile Locked

[chr1zis]

Will the $199 Nexus S (Locked) come with a bunch of T-Mobile preloaded apps, etc? I know I read that the unlocked version will come with stock Gingerbread installed so I am hoping that this will be the same for the locked version as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Everything is same (locked and unlocked), especially when it comes to Gingerbread.

Nope no pre-loaded apps although I wouldn't mind them adding that Sims game and a new movie but T-Mobile doesn't even touch these devices its purely sold by google and best buy.

based off the bestbuy FAQ page all of the phones are going to come unlocked. You just get a discount if you sign a 2 year TMO contract.

I wasn't happy to hear that!

I figured they would have a locked and unlocked version. I am planning on buying an unlocked version and it would be very helpful if there were two versions (separate stock). Now I might have to get to Bestbuy early to buy one ;(.

How can you not be happy to hear that all the Nexus S devices will be unlocked? Wishing for any device to be locked to one service provider is blasphemy in the eyes of the tech gods. For your transgression, you should be banished to a place with no cell reception, no cable or satellite TV, and no internet until you repent for your sins.
