Help T-mobile Splash Screens

Ozam

Lurker
Is there any way to turn off T-mobiles frigging splash screens without rooting the phone. They are way too loud! Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Putting the phone in silent mode turns the sound off. If I forget to do that putting my finger over the back speaker cuts it way down. It really is annoying.

That's insane....it may be a deal killer. Every time I turn off my phone (as opposed to putting it into silent mode) everyone turns to look to find the idiot with the loud phone!!!!!! I can't believe lots of people haven't complained about this!

Just curious why you keep powering it off and on. Takes a minute or so to fully boot up. Can't you just blank the screen and leave it in idle mode instead?

I realize the power on sound is awful, but I only do a power reset when really necessary which isn't very often at all.

a very good point.....I am just not a heavy cell/smart phone user and frequently turn it off to conserve battery life.

If you're not a heavy user you'll get plenty of battery life to easily last a full day. Just plug it in when you sleep and never turn it off.

Someone said somewhere...these"smart phones" are no longer just cell phones!

They are mini computers! actually they are mini Linux computers!

As such do not power it off unless you have to...Even powered off it still eats battery power...otherwise you would never get it back on!

Keep it plugged in over night, use it all day, plug it in when in the car if you have too, and plug it in to go to bed.

The facts are this device uses a battery..buy a spare if your so worried about it.

don't use gps unless you have it plugged in or turn it off when ur done....and wifi eats batteries also..

Enjoy :)

I was hoping to find a way to turn that off as well. It's really annoying. And I do leave it on most of the time, but sometime you gotta turn it off, like on a plane or in a theater.
