what d'you mean by 'T-mobile 150' and how does this 'loyalty dept' know this?

and how did you find this out? because it's odd that their website says it's released in June.

Sorry for the interrogative questions...I just really want to know. :D
 
Sorry about the 150 bit....was just being stupid. T-mobile 150...might have to have a "well o2 are already selling it so...I might just move to them today" winge and hope they give me something "to make me stay" :p

I would still prefer a T-Mobile upgrade via carphone warehouse to get unlocked version for faster updates.

You can do that? (or were you being hypothetical in the sense, that's what you wish would happen)

Because when I finally get it, Samsung take long on updates anyway! and then T-mobile will just take EVEN longer. :cool:
 
You can't get it from cpw as t-mobile Havnt authorised it yet! Ideally an unlocked phone would be gd though. Let's find out if t-mobile release date is right.

Yeah it can be done, as the other guy said currently not available on a t-mobile tariff, but I'm sure it will be soon.

The benefits are that it will not have any "bloatware" added by t-mobile and the phone will be unlocked.

If there are any updates to android, Google will release, then Samsung, if you get through t-mobile then you won't see update until they have finished with it, which notoriously takes ages!
 
has anyone who is inside their upgrade period spoken to 150 to confirm this?
my updrage is due 14th so this could be Perfect timing.

YOU pwannell....HAVE ACTUALLY MADE MY WEEK!!!!! I'm also have a free upgrade ready to call in, so I might phone them up on Monday...or just wait till friday...
 
nice one, i can't wait, was scared i'd have to wait 2 - 4 weeks before t-mobile pull their finger out and get the s2 but the day after my upgrade is due couldn't be more perfect.

now i feel completely assured. :)

Although would like to give who ever is "head of marketing/advertising" a piece of my mind. (it still says June on the 'coming soon' page') I know if I wasn't tied to my dad's office contract I probably would have been out the door to the best deal from anyone else that has it under a good contract instead of waiting...but a week is acceptable (Y)
 
2 things I wanna establish.

1. Is phone gonna be unlocked and untouched by t-mobile?

2. When will carphone warehouse offer on a t-mobile tariff?

I'm abroad until Tuesday so not able to investigate until then, who's gonna make the calls? ;)
 
Your questions are kind of one in the same.

1) The one you get if you call up T-mobile and say "My upgrade is due...can i have the GSII please" (I'M ASSUMING...I've never actually done it myself)
Anyway, that one will be t-mobile'd. in that google will release (Ice cream sandwich (for example sake)) then Samsung will do their biz and then release it to sim-free and tariff phones. THEN T-mobile will release it.
Pretty bad news coz from what I've heard Samsung are pretty bad at releasing the Android updates in good time....let alone T-mobile who'll take AGES.

FEEL FREE TO CORRECT THE ABOVE...Just saying what I think is correct, I'm no expert. :p

2) And sorry. Not sure, but I'd assume on the same day T-mobile release it, so next friday.


and actually a question of my own...

People are going on about speaking to the loyalty team and THEM saying it was released this Friday. Does this mean that IF i'm not on the loyalty plan/contract/deal, I won't be able to get the phone until June???
 
i would hazard a guess that the loyalty team is a;so the retentions team, so anyone would be able to speak to them regardless of their priceplan. as long as you tell the cs representative you wanna leave.
