Root [T-Mobile] Which kernel did you choose?

There are two kernels that is out there for this Tmo phone. Does the FAQ needs update?

I use Bulletproof kernel.

1. Which kernel is good?
2. If you have problem with your Wifi or Bluetooth, is this a kernel or rom problem?
3. Is that true you cant use the stock kernel from Tmo because it is write protect?

as for #1,i am still stock. im pretty boring when it comes to kernels and other mods,so id be interested in hearing others experience with this also. :smokingsomb:

to answer #2,its very likely that wifi issues are due to a module/kernel mismatch. reflashing a rom,or restoring a nandroid generaly will repair such mismatches. bluetooth,im not sure... but it may be possible to break it as well with mismatches.

to answer #3,if you were s on,then you couldnt make changes to /system while booted, youd need to make them in recovery. while s off,all write protections should be gone, allowing you to change things in /system as you wish(delete bloat, etc)

The op told me that 1.29 has the original kernel.

I check my phone and here is the Kernel version:

3.4.10-g9502bc1
root@abm011 #1
SMP PREEMPT

Is that what you have?
