Help Tab 2 is sluggish

I upgraded (I thought) to a Galaxy Tab 2, 10.1 a while back. I use the Tab for business and have found some features that I used on my old 10.1 do not work on the Tab 2. The old Tab is running 4.0.4 and the new one is running 4.1.2

For example, the camera will not auto focus on the Tab 2, making the photos such poor quality that ScanBizCards can't read them. I get lots of cards, so this is a real disappointment.

The second problem is that the touch screen feature is really sluggish, making expanding or contracting the screen slow and "cut and paste" pretty much impossible. It also makes editing documents or emails next to impossible, because I can't place the cursor in the right place. It usually drags an inch or so behind my finger and jumps around.

Has anybody else had these problems and if so,is there a fix?

Thanks for your reply. I have first generation Tab 7 and Tab 10.1, both of which perform just like they should. I bought the 2 because the battery is getting a bit weak on the old 10.1 and I can't find anyone who can replace it. As to resetting, I took the Tab 2 to the Samsung guy at my local Best Buy to see if he could help out. He seemed as puzzled as I am. He did a reset, which didn't change anything. He then told me he had never seen the sluggish touch screen problem before. Told me he would make some calls to see if he could get some guidance. He also told me I may have to wait for 4.3 to become available for the 2. Very frustrating.

The tab 2 might not get the 4.3 update. Its starting to be such a dated tablet that the newer ones are coming out. I thought I read somewhere a while ago that 4.2.2 is that last update the Tab 2 is getting, can't link the article because I don't remember where I read that at.

You stated in your first post that your Tab 2 only had 4.1.2 You should be able to get 4.2.2 on your Tab 2 10.1 since the Tab 2 7.0 has received 4.2.2. You need to check that out. I doubt we will see 4.3.
