Help Tab 2 memory loss!

Hi evrybody, Big thanx to the administrator in ironing out the registration error! Much Appreciated

Now to the problem on hand..my galaxy tab2 has 16GB device memory and i dont store too many video files/large files on it. it gets so bad that i had to factory reset the device coz no apps would run on it..now again it shows very less usable space while it the diagram it shows the major chunk of space as unused but in figures it shows only 400 odd MB space..no idea how to go about it..the OS doesnt allow apps to be stored on SD too.pls check out the screenshots:

Guess what..couple of hrs after posting with 400 MB space available..no files transfer..no app installs..now ive run out of space..absolutely no "free space"
apps not running, mails not updating..looks like a factory reset is on the cards again if you guys dont offer any solutions soon..
 
Hello caesar78. Glad you got registered properly. :)

16GB used to seem huge for storage, but now with media being thrown in the 64GB internal memory versions are being awaited (along with ways of getting media to huge external sd cards).

I'd just move all media out and save it to an external sd card for now.

Others will chime in. :D
 
Thanx for the reply..thats what i did in the first place..moved around 500MB of media out to the SD card and got the 400 MB odd space free and in a couple of hrs it just vanished! without downloading/installing anything!
