Tablet Clock and SIM Lock Activated Woes

I recently received a new 2.1 tablet and am having a few problems I need to get sorted.
1. The system clock is way off with time and day despite setting them many times
2. In settings the SIM lock is activated and I cannot unlock it because I haven't got the code. This means my unlocked SIM won't work for 2G/3G. Despite a full system wipe and factory re-install (not through settings because this does nothing) the SIM lock is still activated.
3. Updates (1 only) download to /nand instead of /sdcard
4. Volume is very low and needs increasing

Can anyone help me with these problems (tablet is not rooted)

Had the same problem with zt-180 time, day and year were way off after I download 2.1 set repeatley I took a paper click and did a reset when I turned it on everything was correct. Hope you get help with other issues. These devices are great but it is a lot of small problems with different firmware versions.
