Tablet for the young engineer overwhelmed with options...?

Adding to the list of "help me pick a tablet!" threads, though having looked through a bit, haven't seen one geared to this.

I'm a 26 year old engineer - I want something practical and fun.

When I'm at work I want something I can have at my desk, bring to meetings, to the racetrack, wherever. Good battery life, mobile, lightweight, and able to do some note-taking and diagramming. I hate having a stack of papers and notebooks of ideas and scratch work which is then a PITA to dig through later and find what I want.

When I'm at home I'd like something that I can keep up on email, web, social stuff, video chat, stream Netflix, etc. Good battery life also a plus here.

There must be something that fits the bill. A good functional stylus is a must. I'll say I'm wary of the add-on styli which are just a tube with a big, blunt, rubbery tip. Just doesn't seem like it would have much precision and control. Like drawing with a crayon rather than a pencil.

The HTC flyer seemed like a pretty good match... though hearing that it will NOT come with the pen if I pick it up at Best Buy is a pretty big turn off. Any other suggestions? Must be some other folks out there looking to get something similar out of a tablet.

Thanks,

Well, I am not really sure if these suit you but here goes.
There are now tablets mostly coming out with Android 3.0 and Tegra 2.
First tablet I think you might like is the Asus EEE Pad Transform.
You get a dock that when combined with the tablet extends battery life and has like a netbook a mouse and a keyboard.
Also, yes the HTC Flyer is very good.
There is also the Asus Memo which I think has the stylus pen. (EDIT: It also has a Qualcomm Dual-Core MSM8260 instead of Tegra 2.)
There is also the Galaxy Tab you might consider or the Dell Streak 5.
Hope this helps.
