Tablet reflash

I have Arnova 10d G3 tablet. A while ago it crashed(got stuck on bootup screen). So I reflashed it following instructions from here (instructions are to put files in sd cards, and boot tablet with sd inserted). This also upgraded tablet OS to 4.1. after some time it got buggy and I reflashed it again, without any problems.
Now it has got stuck on bootup screen, again. When trying to reflash the tablet again, it ignores it. I am using the same SD card(don't have any other).
I am also unable to boot in recovery mode. I get to screen with icosahedron rotating in front of Android mascot, then tablet switches back to regular bootup screen and is stuck there. No loading animations, no nothing.
Maybe there is some other android version I could try to flash.

Hello and welcome to the forums. The tablet you have might have a reset button that need to be pressed . look on the outside of the tablet for a pin size hole should have the word RESET located around the hole.

I have pressed RESET button multiple times, but it only brute-shuts down.

Press and hold for 35seconds yes counting to 35 is the same if nothing happen. Press and hold the power button for 40sec till pad shuts off then try the reset method work.

I am not sure if I understand your instructions. But I pressed and held reset button for 35 seconds - Nothing. When I held power button for 40 seconds it turned on and of for a couple of times.

Probably the recovery became corrupted as well, which can happen, and if you got no way of re-loading that, might be SOL. Because AFAIK this device needs a working recovery in order to re-flash Android from the SD. Only thing can do is to contact Arnova, see what they can suggest. Their head office is in Hong Kong.

Is there a way to load any recovery system in situation like this? Maybe I could try different rom, but I cannot find any that would launch on bootup (I only find the ones that need their files be placed in android root directory). Actually... I think recovery mode didn't work the first time it crashed also. but now it does not even react to reflash SD card.

well in order for custom recovery to work you need a recovery specific to your device and from what i can tell there are no developers working on your device......no devs=no custom recovery or rom:(

If a toolbox was made it would have a new recovery and files to keep it updated only thing u can try would be to get the very first build and try to flash it . but think you can't flash cause recovery is messed up. This is the time for the tool box which would be new drivers, recovery, files to update new ROM and more . if you know cmd commands you can try to use the PC to get access to the recovery and that may work or the tablet is just DEAD

it was dead once before. Now it just seems a bit deader. hmmm... When I connect it to PC while on (infinite) bootup screen, it shows up as "Unknown device" maybe there is a way to communicate with it... somehow.
Since I have no money, but have some free time, I could try to resurrect it. Just don't now how :D
