Help Tablet suggestions

ManlyParasite

I'm looking to buy a tablet, but I know next to nothing on them.
I'm hoping you guys could make some suggestions.
I would love a transformer, but I only have 200/300 to spend lol

If you want something cheap get the viewsonic gtab has a tegra 2 and is fun to play with if your good with android. Viewing angles suck on it but with certain screen protectors they get better

I am sorry if I hijack your thread OP, but I want to buy a tablet too;)
Why asus Tegra2 (TF101) relatively more expensive compare with xoom, toshiba,etc..? While its memory is 16gb,the others 32gb but price is similar.

Also: what is the big deal to root it then put new rom?
I have Lg esteem rooted @2016 smooth; is this asus can be overclocked too?

Wait for the new mini transformer prime 7" which will be pricing at $250.!!!!!!

it is a very good deal compare with samsung 7" and it's still bigger then my esteem at least.:D Thx

YES. it is. remember that it will be like the transformers PRIME but with a higher resolution and better back for better gps, wifi, Bluetooth improvement.

I'm currently looking at a tablet for business. Stuck between the Toshiba Thrive, Xoom, and Transformer/Prime. The Xoom and Transformer/Prime all have ICS already but the Thrive with its full-size USB port (only reason it's in this lineup) is up in the air.

I'm a little bit late but I had a pretty good/bad April Fools day depending on how you look at it.

I got rick rolled about 21315 times.

I told my Girlfriend I got a job across the country and couldn't turn it down.

You be the judge...

SERENITY NOW FTW!

The Asus prime also have an USB port with the keyboard dock.

I'm probably gonna wait for that 7" tablet. Unless I manage to save up another 200 or 300, then I might cave and get a Prime lol

I currently have two. One is the Apple Ipad2 10" and the other is an HTC view 4G 7". Honestly I play with the view alot more than I do with the Apple. Even though the apple is ALOT smoother and has a bigger screen, it cant beat the portability and Android system. I'm on that thing 40% of the time at work. Get an HTC Evo View 4G ($240)

The Acer Iconia a500 tab is pretty nice. I bought mine brand new from wally world for 300 bucks. The official ICS update isn't coming till april but the tab has alot of devs and HC roms. There is also a new dev working on cm9 for the tab its a Aokp build. But, that is the main reason I picked the a500. For the dev scene. I narrowed it down to the a500, Toshiba thrive. and the transformer first gen. In the end it came down to more bang for my buck which is why I ended up with my a500. Did have the a100 but I wanted the 10 inch tab after seeing how small the a100 was. the a500s 10 inch screen is just right.

You could consider a kindle fire. i got mine for $140. its has a dual core processor, 512 mb ram, 7 in IPS screen with gorilla glass and 8 GB HD. you also have to consider that it has no camera, gps or bluetooth.

+1 the evo view is a great tablet, I got it on a one day sale for $240, I think the scribe pen sets it apart from a lot of tablets. If you are looking for a 7in tab at a good price try to find a 1 day sale on the htc evo view 4g or the htc flyer (same thing except one has sprint radios).

It sounds like a desperate buy while actually, I see that a500 has very similar/the same specs compare with others (10" samsung tab/sony S/ TF101/thrive/xoom ;Prime is NOT included it is indeed quad core).
Is that only the brand name reason? I know samsung and sony have thinnest on that class. If i have an offer $250 for a used like new samsung tab or new a500 for the same price and 16gb, which one you guys recommend?

Watch for deals on Xoom. Got mine from staples for $217 after $50 coupon off clearance and %15 off floor model. Pretty slick tablet auto updated to ICS day after I got it

I think I'll buy the A500:cool:. It is superior compare with others (xoom, samsung, asus Tf101, thrive, Sony). It has both USB connnectors (it's a big deal for me for a thumb drive reason) and a flash while others don't have these; the only down is thickness 0.5" compare with Samsung/Sony 0.34; some of them are on sale; anyway, the price is relatively cheapest.
