TableTablet reboots on Android 2.2 when shutting down

On a tablet when I shut it down sometimes (instead of going off it reboots); not sure if it's something I've done or installed; have been putting a few things on it as I've only had it a few days. It's Android 2.2.

Sometimes it will get to the first screen to select the shutdown option and go into reboot mode before I can press it; sometimes I press that and get to the second shut down screen and it reboots; sometimes it will let me press on the second screen and then it reboots; sometimes it works.
I've even seen once where it has rebooted and then shut down (with the little Addriod man appearing briefly) before the screen goes blank.

Only things I've installed recently are Opera mini (far better than the one that came pre-installed), FB reader, BeamReader and Aldiko.
Are any of these known to cause problems?

Is there a way of manually shutting down running systems one by one so that I can isolate the app doing this; assuming that an app is the problem? This fault still happens when I have not selected any app from the home screen after rebooting.

Another problem is running Youtube videos; I just get the message...
"The application Youtube (process com.google android youtube) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
However I can run videos from a file on the USB stick.

Update...
Reboot problem appears to be solved. The tiny power button was sticking and not popping completely out (solved by working a little Vaselene around the button).

However Youtube problem still exists. Extra info... Adroid 2.2 Kernel 2.6.32 Build 1.5.5.
Can Youtube display videos with this build?

Moved thread into GTT.

YouTube should work with a 2.2 build, unless there's something odd with it. Did this tablet come from China? What happens if you go to the YouTube.com website rather than trying to use the app?

It doesn't matter whether I use the Youtube app, or any of the three browsers I have on there, it comes up with the error...
"The application Youtube (process com.google android youtube) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
You then have to force a shutdown on it.

It's only a cheap tablet, 7" with a resistive screen (which for a resistive screen works incredibly well) but I dare say it was made in China; but I thought all this computer equipment was?

It also has Flash 10.1 on it, and plays video files direct from a USB stick; that's what seems strange.

Why put a Youtube app on it if it doesn't work?

Does it play Flash videos streamed other websites, like BBC etc, or Chinese video sites, tudou.com and youku.com ?

I'm thinking they never actually tested for YouTube compatibly. There's no YouTube in China, it's blocked, unless one is using a proxy or VPN. Probably YouTube app is having a problem with whatever Chinese build of Android the device is using, that's why it's crashing.

Tried BBC site and it says I need a newer version of Flash but if I try to update it tells me that there is not a version available for my device.

Tried your 2 Chinese sites and they appear to be asking me to upgrade too.

I think you have probably found the problem; no major worry as I can view Youtube on my computer or laptop; was just curious as to why it wouldn't work.

The machine does seem to be Chinese based software and hardware wise but everything else works well so I can live with this small problem.
