am going to buy a tablet soon and i'm curious:

- will i be able to have the same apps (paid and free) on both my tablet and phone? currently have a SGS2.

- is it possible to have two user profiles on a tablet? ie, my wife and i will share it but she will have different apps on it etc etc.
or how does that work?

Well, I can tell you the first question is yes. If you sign up under the same google account, you can have the same paid apps as on your phone, and you don't have to pay for them again.

As far as #2, I am not 100% sure, but I know on my tablet, I can choose between my phone gmail account, and one I created specifically for the tablet in the play store. So while you can't have two completely different profiles, you can have apps from both accounts on your tablet I believe. Same goes for Google apps like Talk, you can have both accounts saved, and switch between them.

thanks for the reply!
do u know if i can have my saved games on both devices synced?
or will i have to start a game on the tablet over from the beginning?
