Root TacoRoot Method

I am currently trying to root my Evo 4G with the TacoRoot method and I am to the point where you put the command line: cat /sdcard/flash_image > /data/flash_image in and when I hit enter is tells me: /sdcard/flash_image: No such file or directory. What is wrong?

When I try to update the PC36IMG like it says in the guide too, it tells me "Main Version is older! Update Fail!" What would be the problem?

What step of the guide are you on? PC36IMG files can be used for a large number of different tasks

Many of us haven't had to use the 2.3.5 rooting methods yet.

I'm on step 10 after using the "adb shell /data/local/tacoroot.sh --root" command. It seems like the phone is trying to reboot but can't get past the 4G screen, then it reverts back to the Sprint tiles flying around and gets stuck at the 4G screen again. /sdcard/flash_image: No such file or directory. What is wrong? I'm stuck here as well.

HTCDEV method failed, now tacoroot. Re-downloaded everything as instructed 3 times, re-downloaded HTC sync 3 times. 3 times stuck in Sprint--4G screen loops. Yhis happens after step 10 on the specified reboot, and i'll have to undo with step 13.

Guess Sprint finally got me with a non-rootable evo ????

Disregaurd, figured out the HTCdev method.
