Root Take a look at my battery usage

Is this unusual? After I rooted and flashed Syndicate Frozon ROM, it seems to be eating my battery quicker than stock. 2 1/2 hours later it's at 72%. Maybe the numbers are just playing with me but I think 92% display is too much right? How would I bring it down? Turning off Automatic Brightness doesn't help. Please provide your thoughts.

Thanks!

You have to check screen on time. The screen is the biggest drainer of battery. You are also using 4g and bluetooth, so those will drain the battery. Turn those off if you're not using them.

Sorry but what do you mean "check screen on time"? I've had Bluetooth and 4G on stock and it didn't drain the battery as quickly as it is now.

92% isn't too much. With it being a large number, it seems as though there's a problem, but its not. What the calculations are telling you, is that in the 2 plus hours your phone has been unplugged, 92% of the usage was from your screen. If you had no other processes running, then the screen would account for 100%. Don't be fooled by the high %. Turning off brightness won't change that either... again, brightness down and no bt/wifi/4g and your numbers would reflect 100% screen usage. This makes sense, as nothing else is running. If you think about it, there is no way to decrease that 100%... its all that was using your battery at that time...you couldn't decrease this % to say... 50%, as there are no other processes to account for the other 50%.

Epics are notorious for eating batteries like crazy. Some find it worse with custom roms.

Run a program like setcpu and check task manager for other running apps. Also, keep in mind that some apps run in the background even when the screen is off... might be something to look into.

Hope this makes sense. I just got off a 24 hour shift and tend to babble when tired.

What he means by check your screen on time is after you get to that screen click the display section and it should show you how many minutes hours or what not the actual screen has been powered on.

A high percentage in display just means you dont have other crap draining the battery. It means that most of your battery drainage is when your phone is in your hand and in use!

Just my option, to lazy to find the Supporting facts. After a rom flash, or wiping battery stats in clockwork, it takes the phone time to equate battery voltage to percentage remaining. I've never calibrated a battery and I also have three batterys that I switch between. After two or three charge cycles it always becomes more reliable. Just my opinion.

My minds made up, don't confuse me with the facts!
