Help takes 1sec to see lockscreen

when i press the home button it takes around 1sec,sometimes longer, to see the lockscreen. Is this normal or my phone is slowing down? i assume its instant

when ur phone is in sleep mode, it takes 1-2 seconds to wake up and screen on. im not sure if its to check if ur double tapping to open vlingo or somethign else but thats how it is. its annoying i know. i usually hate the iphone comparisons, but seriously, iphone also has a double tap feature and it still wakes up from sleep instantly.

the reason ur phone wakes up instantly when u just lock it is coz it hasnt gone to sleep mode yet.. and when its charging, maybe ur usb connection was active and it wasnt in sleep mode either. if its in sleep, low battery or full battery, ur gonna get that 1-2 seconds lag, the famous lockscreen lag. ive been waiting on firmware to fix it, and i think KG5 has improved it (im probably imagining) but its definitely not instant

I can tell you that its mostly firmware related. Firmware declocks the CPU to 200 MHz which is "sleep mode." However I have tried Villainrom and cyanogen rom and on cyanogen it definitely wakes up a lot faster than the rest with stock 200 MHz cpu clock in sleep mode.

yeah, however some of us arent sure if its simply the cpu downclock that does it though. coz i tested with SetCPU, i set the minimum CPU for the sleep profile to 500, 800, even 1.2ghz! and it still had the lag. im not sure, but setcpu apparently works great, so i assume that its something else in the firmware.. maybe cyanogen has got it right
