Taking a note while listening to a wav file...can it be done?

I use YouMail for voice mail. While listening to a voice mail, sometimes I need to write down the callers phone number in a note app, but when I leave the YouMail app to open up my note app (color notes), the voice mail disappears. This also happens if I'm listening to a wav file embedded in an email, as soon as I exit the wav player to open up the note app, the voice mail disappears. And my memory isn't good enough to remember the phone number either!

I was able to do this on WM? Any suggestions?

I don't use YouMail so I can't help you with certainty, but I tested using the Music Player and I was successful. I started a song, hit the Home Button, browse apps, open color notes and enter text.

What process are you taking to get to the color notes from your mail app/wav player?

If I open up a voicemail attachment in email or the YouMail app and then press the home key it closes out the media player. If something is saved already in media player you can press the home key and get into color notes with the voicemail still playing. Hmmm?

Hopefully that can work for you. I know it isn't exactly what you're looking for...
