Help taking pictures with the epic while on low bat?

This is beyond annoying, when in low battery the epic, as you all know, doesn't let you take pictures. Is there a hack, tweak or app to go around this?

I was out with my daughter and missed a GREAT photo opp because of an alleged low battery.

Are there any camera apps that will take pictures on low battery?

It is annoying. I carry a spare battery while I'm out. The Epic sucks battery like no other, worse than my Evo.
