Help Talk and browse at the same time?

Hello all --

I have a Samsung Vibrant, T-Mobile, 2.2. Lately I've noticed that when I am on a call (most likely using my bluetooth earpiece) I can't use any app that requires data transfer. For example, trying to browse or check the weather. The 3G icon disappears while I am on the call also.

The question is simple, can one talk and browse with a 3G Android phone with T-Mobile?

I have had this phone since last July. I had NO problems talking and browsing at the same time until recently. About 2 months ago I started having issues. I was going over the data limit they wanted me under so Tmobile was slowing my connection. I chalked it up to that. I am not sure if the problem still exists or not b/c I finally have wifi at my house now and I haven't been using the internet on my phone as much. I just moved on to froyo as well... so if the problem is fixed I won't know if it's because I'm not ticking off TMobile by using too much data or if it's because I'm on 2.2.

been having the same problem. I don't remember if I was able to do it on 2.1, but I think I would remember NOT being able to do it, as it wasn't a problem on my G1 (I remember making a comment about it to a TMo rep as I was on the phone with them, something about how the iCrude couldn't). disappointed in that, especially if I'm driving and the map won't update if I'm talking.
