Talk to me about Swype people.....

yes demo is there. Not sure if there is a specific amount of time but after about a week it told me this is a demo download full blah blah. BUT you can just re-install the demo and it will work if you are still not sure whether to buy the full version.

as for limitations, i noticed nothing, although it did sometimes say words could not be added to the dictionary, but then other times it would work... not sure if that's because it was the demo or because of the words i was trying to add (im welsh so use weird words :p)

Atm i am back to swift keys as im not sure if i prefer type or slide...

whats swiftkeys?

sorry i'm a complete novice

I'd love it, I've signed up for the beta but nothing has come my way yet.

I tried a few dodgy .apk files from the net but other than the tutorial, they wouldn't work.

I'm looking forward to finally getting my hands on it at some point.

I'm in the same boat as you, can't find a working apk anywhere.

you kind of have to relearn to type, but its fast once you do. also some shorter words (it being thought of as out is the biggest nuisance to come to mind, also want/wasn't) are so similar it sort of guesses which one you want, but its easy to correct (double tap the word)
and i find its more forgiving of mistakes than other keyboards.

i was using shapewriter for a while and liked it, but came across one major downfall...if you live in a humid place, your finger sticks to the screen too much and its a pita to text right. its great if you are indoors, but the second you leave a cool, air conditioned place and walk out into a hot, humid outdoors, the screen sticks too much.
