Help Talking Tom not working

Talking Tom cat used to work fine until one day i got this error :
Could not acquire microphone. Reboot phone if the problem persists.

Ive tried rebooting my phone and even uninstalled and did a fresh download of Talking Tom. but the problem persists. Talking Tom 2 is also facing the same problem.

Please Help.

What about a factory reset? Also does your microphone work at all for calls?

yes i thought about a factory reset. and the mic is working fine for all calls. im a bit apprehensive about doing a factory reset for an app like tom cat. its a lot of work reinstalling the other apps and going through all the settings once again. any other possible solutions???
