talking trouble!

Hey guys, its me again. Looks like my phones acting up again. For some strange reason, my phones. STOPPED acting out while on my charger. But now i cant talk. My microphone seemrd to have stopped working. So now i can not make my important phone calls. Please help asap! Oh amd p.s. i can hear people but i cant comunicate..

Did you try restarting the phone? What version of Android are you running? 1.5, 2.1 leak, or 2.1 root?
 
Also what i found out is that when i call or incoming call its ju@t a green phone emblem on the top left corner. I compaired it witg a frie-d and thiers looks like a green square with a white phone emblem.. idk if that helps.
 
You have three options.

1 take the phone back and get a new one.
2 try a factory reset and see if it resolves it (it may be an app you installed messing with the phone function)
3 flash the 2.1 leak and see if that fixes it.

I would try 2 before anything else and 3 as a final option.
 
I had this somewhat frequently when on 1.5, it doesn't seem to happen as bad on the 2.1 leak. Not sure if it from from the actual 2.1 or from the essential hard reset form flashing the new new image.
 
Go to settings and privacy or security (can't remember which for 1.5) and select factory data reset. This will wipe your phone and set it back to how it came in the box. The ota updates will still be there.

It won't mess with the SD card, your apps will still be available in the market if you use the same gmail account, but your settings will all be gone. This will happen for any of the 3 options.
 
card.. no but if you have your contacts and email set up with google your golden there, any data stored on the actual phone(ie. apps, messages, settings) will be lost.
Anything stored on the card or in the "cloud" will be backed up once you set up gmail again.
 
Actually, i dont have to do any of this... i figured it out. Do to my charger being plugged in it makes the screen freeze up and act out. If i aplly presure gentally into. The spot were i speak it will solve the problem. WALLA!
