Help "Tap a date" feature, where?

Hi everyone

I finally got away from my iPhone, and back to Android :)
I am now the proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with ICS.

After a week I have started missing a feature that my iPhone had.

When I receive email or SMS, with a date or appointment in, then i was able to tap the date and the directly add to my calendar.

Seams like thats not possible in Android, or maybe I am not able to find it.

Can anyone help figure this out? or tell me if thats a missing feature in Android ICS.

Seams stupid that you have to remember the date, get out of messenger/email to start op calendar and the add it :)

Btw, sorry for my bad english, from Denmark.

I think it is a patent thing. If I remember right, Apple owns it and does not license it out.

I think you're right. There's currently a court case happening somewhere about being able to do this with phone numbers in text, too.

Which is silly because I think Blackberry did it before Apple, anyway.

"Tap a date"-- I wasn't sure what to expect when I clicked the thread title! :P

Yeah, that's a really nice feature when I'm on my iMac. I can click on a date in an email and it will add to iCal and usually get the time and the right and the name of the event from the title of the email. Then my iCal syncs through Google Calendar and pops up on my phone's calendar. I didn't realize this whole time that Apple had the patent on that feature.
