Tapatalk and Xenforo

Perhaps he's an advertiser, and wants people to look at ads. ;)

Our company are an advertiser, but nobody stops or blocks our ads, not when they're on buses and taxis. :D

Something I meant to bring up, emoji. Does AF now support them?

I'm seeing a lot of this on AF now. I think there's supposed to be emoji in those squares. That's in Firefox on a Mac.

When I view the same post in Tapatalk 4.6.2 on my phone, it's "[emoji122...." . I already tried and commented about the new Tapatalk in the What Grinds Your Gears, Rants thread. Tapatalk 4.10 made by gears grind.

Smiley's don't seem to be a problem for me, seeing them all OK. ;):(:p:Do_O:cool::rolleyes::oops::eek::confused::):batdroid::blushDroid::brbdroid::cashdroid::goofydroid::maddroid::maskeddroid::mustachedroid::nailbitingdroid::paperbagdroid::poweredbydroid::saddroid::spaceddroid::specsdroid::spitoutdroid::thumbsdowndroid::thumbsupdroid::wtfdroid:

4.10.1 brought browse back. Tap the upper left forum label and voilà works too
Subforums are there. Tap for example 'Android Lounge' and the list comes up.

The AF app also got updated. Haven't used it though to see

Upgrade has made this app unusable.

I'm still using 4.6.2, don't care so much about the material design, I just like things that are quick and easy to use, and familiar.

I turned off app upgrade notifications a while back, after several things were upgraded and became unusable.

Just got 4.10.1, it's totally broken for browsing and seeing forums. It even wipes out subscribed forums that were previously saved, I had some from another forum and they're gone.
There's a ton of reviews all posted today in the Play store, all very negative.

I get the following popup message when I tap on the Tapatalk community and wondered where I can contact the forum admin, will it be the admin of Tapatalk?

I'm using the latest version of TT.

Probably related to this email I got from them:

Dear Tapatalk Forum Community,

Today we discovered that someone had used an exploit in a third party plugin on the Tapatalk support forums, leading to the disclosure of email addresses and encrypted passwords, and possibly passwords in cleartext if you attempted to login since December 9th.

Due to this incident, please log into www.tapatalk.com/v2 and change your password.

  • Please choose a strong password, containing a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers and even symbols if possible.
  • Never use the same password on more than one site. Passwords should be unique to each site they access in order to comply with basic security best practices.
No other systems appear to have been affected and we will continue to perform audits. In the meantime our support forums will be brought back online but we will be rolling back the site approximately a week as a precaution. Posts and messages since that time will not be restored in this process.

Again, all passwords have been invalidated and will no longer work. Please reset your password using the reset password page and then following the instructions provided in the email.

We are sorry for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience,

The Tapatalk Team

Wish I hadn't updated.

Tapatalk really dropped the ball with this update! I'm not sure I'll continue using Tapatalk unless they fix this mess they call an update.
4.10.1 is a joke!

I'm between meetings at work so I went to the play store and read ALL of the newest reviews and they are 99% 1 star.

What is sad is that I don't think they will do much to fix it anytime soon..........

I totally agree.

I prefer Tapatalk 4.5.2 but 4.10.1 works. Most of the complaints seem to be that Browse is missing. It moved to the top but doesn't work on Android Forums.

Ah just realized that the forum list is (or is supposed to be) accessible by tapping the forum name on the top bar. It does work for the other forum where I thought my subscribed forums were gone, they show up here. Although the separate "Browse" selection is gone it's now part of this function, you get the list of your subscribed sub-forums and then below that the full list of all sub-forums.
But, forum display is still broken for this forum, tapping Android Forums at the top gives the same perpetual "Loading" display as Browse did in the earlier versions.
