Help Task kiling bad for evo

I have heard from various sources that using advanced task killer is bad for the phone, or will gradually affect yourphone negatively. Is this true because i haveheard it does wonders for battery life. Is there a safe way to do it tat is not bad? Thanks.

i was using ATK for a good two weeks and just recently stopped using it and found that i get around the same amount of battery if not a little more possibly. dunno if you're referring to battery life or not but thats what i have noticed so far.
