Help Task Killer: Is it necessary?

I am using GNote with 2.3.6 android version, Do I need to have some sort of task killer app? I have read somewhere in internet that beyond android 2.2, what ever task killer does, same is done by system default task manager. So, I am not sure is there any benefit by having task killer additionally?
If yes, which app do you suggest?

I quit using one after 2.2.2
The way the newer Android OS's handle memory, there isn't much need for one, unless you find an poor written or malware app that sucks up the memory and you need to force close it.

In answer to the problem of the note randomly shutting down (a problem which I have had with my note), someone had responded that removing any task killer software may solve the issue. For me it has, so I shall not be running them anymore.

You don't need a Task Killer, only likely to cause problems.
