Help Task killers: Good or bad?

Basically, what I'm asking is, do I really need them?! For all I know, they may be the root to all of the freezing/restarting problems that I've been having with my phone!!!

Not only do I have ATK, but I also have everything from the 'GO' team, including their Task Manager widget. I even have the Autorun Manager app, as well.

I'm just getting really frustrated with this device and I don't know what to do anymore. I'm seriously thinking about switching the LG Marquee from Boost. Help, PLEASE?!?!

Yes in mine and a lot of people's opinions there bad. And before you give up call zte and send it in on warranty.. the more phones they get on warranty with this problem the faster they will fix it. And everyone I've heard from that sent the phone in got a good one back....

The developers of the Android system have suggested that you don't need them since android is designed to operate on its own. It already kills apps when needed.

I think Android handles mem well, but sometimes you need to control that. I only use build-in task killer GoLauncherEx have (AppDrawer\Running\Close All Programs). I use it only if I'm going to test something like SpeedTest, to be sure nothing interfere. If you do not have a bad behavior app then you don't need a task killer.
