Help Tasker and S3 Don't get along....

how do you add a 2nd context? i thought each profile can only have 1 context, but multiple tasks?

Create the time context, add the task and make it into a fully functioning profile.

Then, from the profiles screen expand the profile so you can see the context and the task. Press the context and then press "Add"

aha! i had to actually long tap on the first context to have an option for adding another context. i kept tapping it, and it would just give me an edit for the time. yes!

Its just a tap on mine. If I long press, I get "Delete profile?"

if i tap the context, it goes into edit mode for that one. then long pressing it gives me Add, Delete, and Name.

now i'm trying to setup the whole take a pic of incorrect unlock profile, but do you have to be rooted for this?

i don't care for the emailing part, as i have dropbox and automatic upload setup. so i followed the instructions from this post:

and it's not working. i'm trying to test it out right now with just the first incorrect unlock, but no picture is being taken.

Mine works. I linked what I used earlier in the thread. Are you using secure settings? What lock type are you using?

I only have other than the email bit a camera task

i don't know what was wrong, but i deleted the profile and added it again, and it works.

Context: "Secure Settings Failed Login Attempts - Max: 1"
Task: "Take Photo, Camera Front"

although now, i have it set to "Insert in Gallery", but it's saving to it's own folder in the phone's internal DCIM/Tasker folder, instead of the external microSD/DCIM/Tasker.

is it possible to change this?

You would have to have a task to move the file afterwards. Thats where photos called via tasker end up.

Hmm, just tested this out as I have a similar profile created that uses a cell tower near trigger instead of the Wi-Fi connect trigger, but you are right. Mine didn't disengage the keyguard either.

Other Tasker profiles have been working fine, though, like the one I have that silences the phone at night.

Similar problem here S3 jelly bean, touchwiz, rooted phone using secure settings, i get a notification that secure settings has disabled keygaurd but it works sometimes and other times it does not. Tried all the answers none work, not sure if having touchdown email app stops it from unlocking anyone else using touchdown?

I'm also having some weird issues with S3 and tasker as well.
Please note that every tasks were working flawlessly on my HTC EVO 4G, for more than one year, before I switched to the S3.
I have noticed the following:
- Sleep task, where phone is put on silent mode between 9PM to 9AM and when in charged. So when after 9PM I plugged in my phone, I see that silent task is activated in tasker and the silent icon is activated as well. But in the middle of the night I received email notifications even though it should be inactivated. Since I'm up know I checked the phone sleep task is still activated in tasker but phone silent mode is no longer activated!!! if I now activate silent mode manually again, the phone will stay that way until I unplug it from the charger. And all email notification will go silent.
- I have another task that turns off wifi when I leave home until I get back in the cell area near my home. But for some reason wifi is back on 3 or 4 hours later, even though that tasker is showing that I'm at work where I am. And even though I turn off wifi, it still come back on few minutes or hours later.
- I have no issue with disabling keygard with tasker when at home, but I have noticed that when the email notification wakes me up during the night, keygard is back on.
As if for some reason, the S3 overrides tasker's commands every so often (3 to 5 hours).
Any help would be appreciated as my wife is started to get PO at me with this notification in the middle of the night.
If not I will have to look as other task/profile apps; as I want my phone to ring during the nigh if my kids are calling.
