Hi all

I use Endomondo to track me whilst cycling and have spent hours trying to get the steps below to work

Is it possible when Endomondo is swich on to....

Turn off Wifi
Switch on GPS

When Endomondo is turned off to...

Switch off GPS
Turn on Wifi

If so is it possible to give me a step by step guide...'please'

Tasker - press the + button.
App - (the app you want) that's the context aka if this happens.

Press ok.
Next is something like Net - Wifi "set to " press off in the drop menu.
Then again Net - GPS (not sure if it's under net)
Set to on.

Now, to add an exit task it something like long press the new task you have made, add exit task.
Find net and GPS and switch to the value you want, ie on /off
Can't say much else, have to go back to work now.
Hope this helps somewhat.

I have been struggling with this too, although it's been the Navigation app. I kept getting a notice from Navigation when launching it that I had no GPS on my phone. Seems that Tasker could not fire up the GPS fast enough.

Found a workaround on the Tasker wiki (step throughs - Auto Enable GPS Navigation tasker.wikidot.com/navigationgps ) for setting up a task with a 50 ms delay between turning gps on and launching the app.

Naming that task and associating it with an icon let you substitute your application icon on the home screen with your newly created task icon. Tapping the icon will launch the app 50 ms after gps has been turned on.

No noticeable dalay, but you have to launch from the home screen.

That works like a charm for me. And a minimum of tweaking the profiles will let you do the same for any app you want.
