Help TB keeps turning off

Recently my TB has been turning off for seemingly no reason at all. The first time I was listening to a podcast and the phone turned off. The second time I was about to send a text message and the phone turned off. The screen just goes black and the orange charging light appears. In both cases the phone had over 50% battery. I have to turn off and turn on the phone before I can use it. Has anyone else had this problem and found a possible solution to it?

Is the phone charging when this happens? It might be overheating.

The first time it wasn't charging but I had been listening to a podcast for about an hour before it turned off. The second time I had the phone plugged into a car charger and was using the google maps for navigation. About five minutes after unplugging the phone, I was texting and the phone went off. I did notice it seemed a lot hotter than usual this second time though. Could it possibly the case I have isn't causing the heat to be dissipated properly?

I have had the same issues. I was wondering about the random reboot issues, but my device stops what it was doing which I mostly listen to music with Neutron music player. It shuts itself down and without being on the charger. I pick it up and look, and I see the orange light as if it was charging by itself without the charger.

Mine is doing this as well. I will randomly find the phone off. Also, last night, I shut the phone off and threw it on the charger, as I had a presentation about 2 hours away today and knew it wouldn't see a charge until I got home.

This morning I got up and the phone was no longer charging and did not have the green light lit to indicate that it was done charging. I tried to turn the phone on and it simply *wouldn't* until I pulled the battery and put it back in.
Once I did that, the orange charging light went on, although the battery only read 82% when it should have been 100%.

Yup, this phone (which is number THREE, btw) is going back.

And between the time I posted the above, I have lost data 4 times....

this is common for the tbolt. it overheats quite often. good phone though.
