Help TB Update

So I got the message on the screen to update to 1.70.605.0. Should I or shouldn't I? Seems like a lot of owners are having problems with the update.

If that is the latest update and you are not rooted yes you should take it. The issues people are having is that they are rooted and accepting the update and it is causing errors, for stock phones the update has had little to no issues.

I read those posts too.

But I haven't had the problems that necessitated this update (like GPS problems, rebooting issues, etc.). So I dunno if I should risk it. Like my grandma used to say, if it isn't broke, don't fix it! =)

to add to that,you really dont have alot of chioce in the matter. your phone will pester you constantly until you accept the OTA. or until you root it and install a custom rom i ran the stock OTA on my phone and i didnt have any issue with it,for what thats worth

I am pretty sure the update also includes a better radio than MR1 so you would have less issues with data dropping and the handoff from 3g to 4g or wifi

Updates are not always to fix something that is broken but sometimes to improve something that isn't broken. When you learned to ride a bike you started with training wheels, once you were ready the training wheels came off, not because the bike was broken but to improve it. (Yeah it was the only analogy I could come up with I know it is a bad one )

I was skeptical as hell.... went from 3-4 reboots a day to not one reboot since, gps lock is much faster, data is slightly more reliable, but my battery life has improved noticeably and i didn't see if that was even part of the update but I have no other way to explain it...

No reboots over the day will help with battery life.
