Help Tbolt email questions - from an Android Newb

Another coming from a BB Storm1 so I am really new to Android (1 day)!

I have 5 email accounts setup and running (hotmail, yahoo, 2 (pop) on my url and the new gmail). I have all notifications turned on. I have it set to update every 10 minutes. But I am rarely getting any notifications (sounds or icons). When I go into each box, I see the emails on the servers and they refresh (load since last). But new emails are not automatically loading (some did last night but none today). I just found the size limit on at 50 kb and just now up'd it to max.

Sounds, I have a notification sound selected but as I am not getting the notifications - I am also not getting the selected notification sound. when they refresh (when I am IN that email account), I get a different notification sound (muted quick double-tone).

Lastly, on BB I could set a different notification sound for each mailbox so I knew, from the notification sound, which email account received. Is this also possible on Tbolt?

Gmail necessary for phone, others - long story but useful and I am accustomed to this setup.

Having a diff tone for each would be great (and if anyone knows how to do this...) but in the meantime, I cannot see why I continue getting the alpha tone when I have chiff applied.

SMS and ring-tones as selected but not mail.

Notifications seem to be coming in now - don't know why they weren't earlier today.

I realize I have much to learn, and will always search vigorously before posting questions but if a tone is selected and a different one sounds...
