Tbolt triggering anti theft alarm on stores

buton

hi guys
do you have the same problem?

when i pass those magnet anti theft devices at the entrance of the stores the alarm goes on, i pass the tbolt over them and it triggers them...

any idea if this can be solved? i dont like to get the attention of everyone everytime i enter a store...

I have seen this happen to other people many times with various phones but have never experienced it myself, even with my TBolt. Not sure what sort of actual tips to suggest short of turning off the phone before entering/leaving a store...yeah, that's really not an option for me.

I've noticed that the really old ones, well I think they are really old. The ones that have holes in the middles so they look almost like white plastic ladders with orange or yellow strobes on top. They used to go off around half the time with my Dare and have not been to that particular Walgreens since I got my TB. Maybe next week I'll give it a go.

Funny story about that. My wife got me a Columbia coat for xmas one year. When she checked out, the lady running the register forgot to swipe the coat, so she got the coat free at old navy. I wore the coat a month later to Target an it set the alarms off as i was walking it! So i go in the store, and it sets the alarms off again as i leave. The lady working close to the register seen this happed earlier as i went in, an said just go ahead. Well i go home thinking maybe there might still be a security device or something in the coat, but there was nothing. Go back to Target a few weeks later again, an set the alarm off again going in. I leaned over to my wife an said, "You didn't get that coat here did you?" LOL So when i start to leave this next time, it stopped doing it. Those alarm detectors at the entrance of stores are screwy bunch sometimes, as my Droid1 would set them off too sometimes.

Those security things are crazy. I had one go off on me everytime I entered a CVS store last year. I finally determined it was something in my wallet. I pulled about 10 unnecessary cards out and it happened to be one of them that was causing the problem.

Haven't had one go off on my TB yet though.
