Root Teach to DEV???

so I was wondering if there is any DEV out there that wouldn't mind taking me under their wing and teach me to also be a DEV...

I'm a def a quick learner, taught myself how to write, basic HTML, & CSS in two weeks, and made two websites. I know that's dif than doing DEV for android but its just to show my easy learning thing, lol...
 
Google, google, google. First you should start by figuring out what you want to make and learn the file ssystem, where everything goes, what folders are for what, etc. Learn how android works.
 
Sorry if I was informative. I'm not lazy, I actual just need to be pointed in the right direction. Yes google, but what am I searching for? I spent 1 week learning java thinking that was to make apps for android but it wasn't. U have any pointers where I can start or a site that helps a novice?
 
Start by tearing apart someone else's rom and getting to know the structure.
As you mod that you will start to get a handle on things.

Yea Metro is stupid, but at least they kept the standard desktop the same on Win8. I use the keyboard for just about everything and Win8 is fine. However on the other hand i really hate windows phones...far too many effects, even outdoing apple...

yeah idk if I was "tearing" it up lol

but was more lost than a 2yr old at Disney World

I got two java programming books and a javascript book (other reasons)

let the LEARNING BEGIN!!!
