Well... I just posted something long and drawn out, meant as a reply for another section of the forums...
Briefly, here I will state some of that. Ultimately, I am looking for a full-featured word processor, or office suite, as that is all that is holding me back from ditching PC-computing. As a Master of Instructional Technology student, APA formatting is absolutely necessary, and also entirely impossible on any of the "office" programs available on my Droid (soon to be D3).
In the future, I see people using bluetooth keyboards and mice with their pocketable android devices, and utilizing external monitors when and where necessary. Laptops will certainly disappear. Desktops may still have a future as home file repositories, HT servers, and high-end digital A/V editing, CAD workstations, and a few other not-so-portable duties.
The repercussions and implications for the entire world, and the education industry are inconceivable.
Anyway, otherwise, I am a very busy human with a wife and two kids, a PT job at OfficeDepot, another as a substitute teacher, one or two grad courses going at once, and then there's the stuff to do around the house...
Namaste,
Matt
