Root [Team Osiris][ROM][Beta] Unofficial CM11

I saw online somewhere that says for you to remove the micro SD card and put it into your computer. You would then run chkdsk on your SD, and if it finds problems, it will fix them. I haven't tried this though, so I don't know if it will work.

i will check it out mind as well done everything else lol

Here is the Touchwiz 5 launcher and task manager. To install, reboot to cwm, and install the zip file.

Here are the extra Touchwiz 5 applications like, S-Note, S-Voice, the Touchwiz 5 Theme, and the Samsung App Manager. I did not make these flashable because, to install to /system, it would use up too much space. So instead, you unzip the file with a Root File Explorer and install them to /data like you would with any apk.

Is this really happening? Discussion about installing Touchwiz...on the cm11 thread? lol

I believe that it can. You'll just have test it and find out. Worst thing that will happen is that some of the apps force close. I think the apps were pulled from a Jelly bean ROM anyways. The theme is for cm10+. You can't use it on anything other than CyanogenMod. The rest of the apps should work though.

OK, I'm using superrom v2 and I installed the extra apps, s voice and s memo work, it installed Samsung s3 apps but can't open it or find it, Samsung Apps flat out didn't install.

Okay after installing the first zip file all the other apps installed, the theme seems to be working on superrom v2. Samsung apps opens but with nothing inside?

This is getting really off topic. Just a reminder, this is the CM11 thread. Please try to post things relevant to CM11. Thank you :)

Yes exactly... Keep this thread clean... You are free to create a new thread or post in the thread relevant to the ROM in discussion

yeah i guess i started it with the theme question!! lol but i still get android.process.media when i install certain themes (i could unmount then mount sd to fix it but thats annoying)....its weird b/c i deleted all my apps manually and it worked but as soon as i put more apps on i get the error...o-well i guess i cant figure it out back to the system theme....

Yeah, sorry about that jetx2x. Didn't mean for it to carry on for so long. I love the cm11 build so far, and I just wanna say that you and everyone else that helped you did an awesome job. Also, what's the status for the ROM currently?

The exact state as in the OP... Nothing new to report... Work is going to slow down since all the easy stuff is taken care of... Not having much luck anymore

Got excited but that app keeps force closing on me I don't know what's going on!!

deleting apps manually isnt a good idea, try factory resetting it and starting fresh if you havent already. may have something still in your cache or something like that conflicting with the apps. im not sure tho i dont have the full story

I'm thinking about another reset but I've done plenty of them in this process lol sd card formats changing sd cards I really don't know what the deal is pretty strange

Well did a factory reset and added my apps periodically from play store and worked for a while then it started appearing again so I just unmount then mount sd card when I reboot and it clears up....it seems to appear sometimes then other times it doesn't guess I'll just deal and hope it clears up eventually :)

I downloaded the initial release and noticed that it seemed to slow down significantly with use (I.e. laggy ui response).

Had anyone else seen this, and if so; did it get better with more recent builds?

No I've been noticing that too with the recent build. Also the function buttons don't light up or vibrate much. But it is laggy for the time being

Go to settings > about phone > tap on build number until it unlocks developer options and performance options :)
Try going to performance, agree to the disclaimer, go into cpu and change min to 122mh, then go into I/O scheduler and choose sio. See if that helps.

Nope that didn't work either, also my Skype messing up I.e. not ringing when I make a call. Its too bad I really want to use this ROM as a daily.

Well, I understand your desire. I have my own.

I stay on the ROM, most of the week, because I like it. But then jump back to the stable SuperR B13- v.6 backup, (takes just minutes), when I want to retrieve the phone messages I've missed.

It's 5 minutes of time, restoring a nandroid, than another 5 minutes, to jump back to my backup of cwm-11.

The good new's is being able to do THAT, makes me FEEL like I really know how to DO Android! :)

(It's OK that it's probably more like being able to change a tire on a Ferrari,... compared to a Ferrari mechanic). :o

Compared to my friends that don't root or do anything with their phone's, (except pay through the nose for their contracts), I'm a DAREDEVIL out there with no net, wing-walking!
