Root [ Team Osiris ] Unoffical PACman Kingdom [ WIP ]

Okay. Now I'm getting random system ui crashes which ultimately lead to me having to reboot or boot loop. Whichever comes first. App crashes. Dev menu options don't save and hw overlays need to be kept disabled. That wouldn't be a problem if options would save.
 
I've tried using this a couple times now, and each time it occasionally freezes, my phone gets hot, and I ultimately have to do a battery pull. I've flashed the butteredtoast kernel, and I'm thinking that's my issue. I'm wanting to make sure, or see if there's a different reason behind this.

It seems like a really nice ROM, and I'd like to try to use it for a while.

I think pie came in 4.2.1 or 4.2.2 on the last PAC ROM I was on. But did you try 'Force GPU rendering' with it? Option right under in Dev options. I've had to do this too. This was in PACversion 19.? on my HTC One V built from source.

How do you add new APNs? Im kinda needing my MMS. And I want to learn this.
 
Like they said further up the thread, voice dial APNS and it'll take you to the menu. Then you have to hit your menu button and add new apn

We both also confirmed a broken APN menu. Its there, but its not. It flashes APN page, then goes to settings.
 
I just install your ROM and now I can't get onto Sprint, I'm unable to find the place to set the CDMA subscription to NV, I called Sprint and needless to say no help there.

Please help me get my phone back on Sprints system. I tried a restore back to "stock" using CWM and still could not get my phone service working.

I'm running the newest ROM from here

Thanks for the info, so this morning I did a wipe data/Factory reset and then a Wipe Dalvik Cache, and when I turned on the phone it ran a automatic restore program that Sprint tried to fix my phone with earlier in the day, BUT at that time it would not complete and would give me a 1012 error message, but this time it ran and fixed my problem SOOOOO, now I want to flash your ROM again.

Do you know what files I need to backup so that if I have this problem again I can just restore them?

So I tried the rom today and it was so much faster than ics. I would've kept it but I couldn't see videos on Vine or Instagram which is a big thing for me! I really hope there's a jellybean rom that actually has that working soon :l

Disable hw overlays in dev options menu. You just can't take video on jb roms
 
First of all, love this ROM. I have found that most problems can be fixed with a little tinkering. I do have two problems though, one a several of my personal favorite apps simply don't work properly (mostly involving video or wifi), second and this ones is more of a inconvenience, whenever I reboot or backup this ROM the Disable hw overlays button in dev options reverts back to unchecked.
Either way I am never taking this ROM off my phone.

i absolutely love this ROM...yet my phone doesnt stay on unless its attached to the charger...i only have but a few apps on it seeing its an extra phone i use for a camera and internet...if someone can please help me with this bug it would be great...dont want to get rid of the ROM was hoping for an update or someone else with the same problem tho...thanks in advance...
