Root teethering 3g?

I get mixed info so figure I would ask here. I heard u can teether the phone to share its internet/data connection with a laptop and such, then heard only on 4g not 3g, then needed a diffrent program, then still need to pay the 30 a month then need a certain rom O_O I'm confused I got perm root, and installed that mikmik rom. So where to now for working on teethering, any suggestions?

Get "Wireless Tether" from the android market and you are set. You can tether on 3G.
