Tele Nav Question

Maybe its just me but could somebody confirm this. I thought that You had to pay extra money monthly to use TeleNav. Or so I thought when I last played with it. I have been rooted for some time and thought about removing somemore apps for space. When I clicked on TeleNav boom it worked, and quite well might add. Am I losing my mind, and TeleNav always works for free or did rooting it unlocked something ?

Good question. My phone is not rooted/unlocked and I have been able to use Telnav; I just assumed it was free because it never asked me to sign up for anything and I have the Boost unlimited plan. I did a simple search and found the app for free on Android Market Place. I did some more searching and found the plan is $9.95/Month on Sprint/T-Mobile but couldn't find any Boost price. Let me know what you find out.

Well, you'll probably know when next month's bill comes in, if there is a fee. I personally use the Navigation app provided by Google Maps. Hasn't failed me yet.

Just spoke with Christie from Boost Mobile Tech support and she assured me there is NO charge for using this app. I hope this is correct information because it did take me 3 different Boost reps before one was able to give me an answer; one lady actually hung up on me.

I can tell you first hand that telenav is free for the prevail on boost. The tech that told you that was correct. I had the prevail since it came out, and always use telenav. No problems, and no charge. :)

no problem, forums are usually the best place to get your answers. I've called boost before on some issues, and out of the 5 times I called, I got 5 different answers. :)
