First here are some helpful IMPORTANT tips:
1. You need to be Rooted. Guide HERE.
2. You need to have CWM. Guide HERE.
3. You should make a backup of your current ROM. Guide HERE.
4. You MUST backup your 3G(If you've already flashed a ICS or JB ROM, this wont backup your 3G). VERY IMPORTANT.. Guide HERE.
FIRST read the post "Read this BEFORE flashing ICS or above".
**WARNING: If you proceed, you will lose 3G data speeds. You will have to do the 3G fix whenever you switch basebands, the guide is located HERE.**
**If you're on ICS baseband already, skip to the step where you install the ROM, but still wipe dalvik cache, cache partition, and factory reset.
Let’s begin:
1. Download TelstraStock4.0.3Rooted_OC-Kernel_Included.zip from HERE and ics baseband.zip from HERE
-- HERE is the Gingerbread Baseband; if you would like to go back to Gingerbread ROMs, you must first flash this baseband using the same steps (2-12)
2. Unzip TelstraStock4.0.3Rooted.zip file, place the TelstraStock4.0.3Rooted folder on the SD card inside the clockworkmod/backup folder. Also, place ics baseband.zip file on your SD Card.
3. Reboot in to CWM Recovery.
4. Power off the device, then hold the Power and Volume Up buttons until you reach CWM.
--Using the arrow keys, navigate to “Mounts and Storage”, Press the Power button to select.
5. Navigate to “format /System”, press the Power button to select.
6. Navigate to “+++++Go Back+++++” press the Power button to select.
7. Using the arrow keys, navigate to “wipe data,/factory reset”, Press the Power button to select.
8. Navigate to “wipe cache partition”, press the Power button to select.
9. Navigate to “advanced” press the Power button to select.
10. Navigate to “wipe dalvik cache", press the Power button to select. Then "+++++Go Back+++++".
11. Navigate to “backup / restore", then select "Restore".
5. Finally select the TelstraStock4.0.3Rooted file.
If you want to Overclock:
1. Place the N00B Friendly Overclocking HF2-ICS_V2 anywhere on your PC.
2.*Put your phone into Fastboot.
-Power down your phone, then hold the Power & Volume Down buttons for approximately 10 seconds.*
3.*Plug your phone into your computer.
4.*Run the appropriate file for your needs.*
*They are named for the result they produce:
-- RUN ME to install OC Kernel.bat
-- RUN ME to restore Stock Kernel.bat
**If you would like to see what these files are doing, you can Right Click, and select Edit.**
Linux/Mac users:
-- To install Overclock Kernel:
fastboot flash boot oc_kernel_install.img
-- To restore Stock Kernel:
fastboot flash boot Stock_kernel_restore.img
I have safely Overclocked this phone to*1113.*Anything higher*will make the phone unstable.*
**TIP**
-- If you do decide to try to set the CPU higher than*1113, a widget on the home screen may make your life easier. If you boot loop, it loads all the way to the home screen, and if you can open SetCPU before Android loads it, you can change the CPU settings before it reboots again.
