Telus Nexus Prime Release Date

Well if you have that number under a contact that contacts name will show up when you either receive a text or call from them. Otherwise if they arnt a contact just there number will show if you receive a text or call from them.

Oh alright I guess it's not useful to have then since the Telus has voice messaging. And besides I have no intention of answering unless I'm expecting a call from work. Btw if i were to buy this phone on a 3 year contract, would I able to say upgrade to another phone (galaxy s3) once it's released? Or do I have to pay the fine in order to get off the contract? If so how much are these fine now a days? I hope this nexus comes to Telus, but they still have yet to get the galaxy LTE so I'm a bit concerned.

That's actually not true, at least with Telus.

If you don't have caller ID anytime you receive a call it will be from "Unknown" regardless of whether they're in your contacts or not.

With text messages you will always receive the number/name regardless of whether you have caller ID or not.

You wouldn't have to pay a fine when changing your phone during a contract you'd just have to pay for the phone full out, like whens its off a contract. Unless you have a upgrade which I believe you get them after 2 years in a contract or something like that. Which then you get it discounted. Check this link for info on upgrades.
