I have noticed when I go in to Settings i can still see the imprint from my Homescreen, It goes away in about 5-10sec, I havent noticed it anywhere else so is this hardware realated maybe software??

I've never seen this on mine... I don't think this would be normal. I can't give any technical details or guarantees though... but 5-10 seconds seems like an awful long time for an after-image on regular use.

Do you have the screen set to never sleep? I mean, it might be normal if your homescreen is on for a long time (say never sleeping while plugged in), or if some bug keeps your screen from sleeping... My screen sleeps after 30 sec.

I read that this screen technology is susceptible to burn in though.

It's normal for samoled, from what I'm told. 5-10 seconds is a bit long, but it is most likely a function of how long you have it on the screen that causes the temporary burn-in. I've observed this on all the Nexuses I've had.

O Ok this is the first time i have noticed it on a SAMOLED, Maybe bescause its HD Amoled, It yes it is about 5-10 sec but its a constaint fade so about after 6-8sec it disappears, And no my screen is also set to a 30 sec turn off/lock

Yes, it is normal. It's more noticeable on some Nexii (Nexuses?) vs others and on lower brightness settings.

completely normal. you may not have noticed it on other screens because it wont show on a black or white background (at least not on mine) but it really shows well on gray, or the blue fade background of the settings menus.

also, FWIW, my burn in is only like 2 seconds or so.

Can you post a video of what you are seeing?

Well i havent thought about that but i can try later own Ill have to use my webcam since i dont have my other phone with me hopefully the Quality will be good enough to detect the burn image
