Help Temporary files from HTC apps

I went to take a photo earlier and it said "sd card full" so I went to applications then storage then clear space on sd card. I noticed that 'temporary files from HTC apps' is taking up 3.3GB. What exactly are these files and why are they taking up so much space?

I'm having the same problem today....I keep making space on my sd and it keeps getting filled by this temporary data....bizzare...tempted to just delete and see what happens.

I'm having the same issue. It keeps on eating my SD memory. I only have a few hundred MBs left, after clearing this temp files, it eventually comes back. ( from my observation, the number grows back after using certain apps like Instagram ). It's kinda frustrating. Any news if HTC has resolved this?

The 1st time I deleted these temp files, it also deleted all of my Music. Before you try deleting, make sure your Music files are saved in a separate folder, or create a new one and place all of your songs there. I read from [Q] What are "temporary files from htc apps"? - xda-developers that this is a bug. Not sure if they have fixed this or not.
